Feels like heaven biog:

After a brief period on the sidelines perfecting their art in the studio, Bauer are back with their beautiful reworking of the Fiction Factory cult 80’s mega classic “Feels Like Heaven” - this is a gorgeous, modern indie pop style take on a beautiful song that screams to be heard yet again by a new generation of listeners.  It almost seems an obvious and telling choice of single for a band that is so hook-driven and infectiously melodic.  Following on from the indie chart successes of “Connected” (produced by Steve Power of Robbie/Feeder/Blur fame - check) and “Starting Again” (used in a variety of cult British movies - check) , plus a slew of  fanbase-building key support shows opening up for the likes of I Am Kloot, Snow Patrol & Turin Brakes, this is a track that could catapult the band into the mainstream.  The album “Sleeping Giant” that is to shortly follow is very aptly titled as it can only be described as a virtual “greatest hits” for a band that has been musically pregnant for the best part of half a decade.  Bauer can almost be been seen as the last of a dying breed - evoking a time in music when bands and musicians “really meant it…man” and when melodious songs were order of the day, above any need for posturing or arrogance. Manchester has a knack of underrating many of its best bands (Chameleons, World Of Twist et al) - don’t let a band as relevant and quite frankly talented as Bauer pass you by…..
